I just graduated in 2011....spoke with the ticket office about ordering season tix and they informed me they have no discount for young alumni.
Most kids don't have the money to buy season tix for football and/or basketball.
Why isn't there a program to get young alumni discounts on season tickets....

I can't guarantee anything, but go to FB and get in touch with the Red and Blue Army. They may have some creative ways to help.

I will endow the first 25 young alumni who pm me and subsequently buy season tix. 10% discount..ill give you the ten bucks. Must buy a second season tick at regular price.
$250 bucks to put 500 new season ticket holders in...that's better than bus brigade $.
Also includes a free beer or cup of lemonade on the blvd.
Anyone want to match the RGV special?

Thanks for the plug. Sack lunch, I started Red & Blue Army as a way to mobilize and incentivize young alumni to come to games. We're in year two and I'm having a meeting with the Ticket Office next Friday to see if we can get them to start throwing our little band of 110 some discounts to help us grow. We are located in Section 110, in the corner of the endzone. We have a lot of fun, you won't miss the view and they are the most affordable seats. Seriously, you'll like the field prospective and being close to the tunnel and touchdown celebrations. Check us our by clicking the links below. I feel your aingst and am working on it. Join us! Strength in Numbers!

SMUFrat, I'm glad you have been able to be in a situation so soon after graduation to be a season ticket holder. Yes, $100 in the scheme of things is not a whole lot, but I get sick of people on this board taking cheap shots at those who might not have the means to do certain things at this stage in their lives, and then wondering why SMU has the elitist image that it does. We all like to think our SMU diploma guarantees us solid job prospects right out of the gate, but that ain't the world we live in. I hope either through RBA or some other generous offer that sacklunch can find a way to get himself tickets; we should do whatever we can to get people engaged, not give them crap because $100 means something different to him than it does to you.

I'll tell you what, if you buy a seat in our section (110, Rows 5-12), I'll mail you a RBA scarf and $20. I can't do it for everyone, but if that would be the impetus that gets that ticket sale, sure.

RBA
I'll subsidizes 2 season tickets in your section if you will give them to a young alumni.
I don't want to put my e-mail on the site but contact me and I'll send you a check. I don't have a FB account which should indicate my generation.
The way to build a fan base is to get them when they are young and while you won't keep them all you will keep some which is better than none.
I own 2 in the premium seating and will donate 2 more in the RBA section to get our young alumni to games.
Seriously, groups like RBA, is the way to grow our fan base!

Pony81, that's an amazing offer! Sacklunch, round up 2 friends and $26 per person, you have 3 tickets on the table.
As an aside, RBA has a group ticket account (994132) that our members have access to. You can transfer unused tickets to this account from your Ticketmaster and we'll do our best to furnish them to new fans or young alumni!

Time to get the Young Alum on board. No offense to the older generation but there are hardly many 25-40 yr old alums that attend lunches or any MC functions.
Contact Amy or somehow connect with the Young Alumni Board or MC Board, not that hard folks. Thanks SMUer, we've talked about this before.

Now that the Morgan Campaign has quieted I'll circle back to Amy and see if we can't collaborate somehow with Mustang Club.
