Darius Johnson is obviously a very gifted receiver, and we are quite fortunate to have him help break in GG for the coming season.
Which records does he have the best chance of breaking this year?

I think he's got an excellent chance to catch Aldrick Robinson's Season TD record and maybe even Emmanuel's Season Receptions record.

Some of his catches this past year were ridiculous!

I would also think the single game yardage is in play as well.

I can watch last years TCU victory over and over ... and not just for the obvious. DJ made some unreal catches ... and what a nice humble kid. If GG is clicking (or heck CP also), I think he can and will have a huge year and the numbers will fall

Will be interesting to see who steps up as the number 2 to complement him: Thompson, Holman, or J Johnson.

Der'rikk Thompson needs to be the consistent deep threat. I'd also like to see us mix in more WR's ala Houston. Hopefully Jason Phillips is in June's ear about this. Ronnell Sims, Kyle Guinyard, Cole Loftin, and Arrius Holleman are good enough to be on the field.

i don't see him breaking the single-game or season receptions records.

It all depends on Zach Line. If Line is a running back beast, wwe don't need to throw as much.

He will have 18 TDs this year.

actually with the run and shoot - the better line runs the more passing yds for the slot - the LB's have to key.
and i love DJ - think he is the best we have had in a long time - but the only one he might break with this schedule is TD catches - and that will be tough.

Just think of what DJ could do if he didn't have to make all those ridiculous acrobatic catches due to umm...interesting looking passes in his direction.

I disagree. To me, it all depends on the offensive line. If the new kid and Gottschalk can anchor the line at the tackle spots, slide Collins back in to guard and McJunkin at center, we have the makings of a decent line, after all, and the offense has a chance to succeed after Gilbert and his new teammates get to know each other.
