Just purchased my first pair of season tickets for SMU football! My gift to my younger brother who just graduated from SMU this spring. Living in Denver, I won't get to use my seat as much...but I'm sure he will find someone to take along in my absence. Can't wait for this season! Go Mustangs!

I purchased my first season tickets for this season as well. I'm feeling its going to be a good one.

Congrats on the purchase. If people tell you to sit down and be quiet---don't do it. Yell loud and proud. Go Ponies!

Congratulations! Season ticket sales are the key to sustaining the program. Be sure to bring along guests who make plenty of noise.

I wonder if this class of graduates, the ones who have gotten used to having a decent team, have contributed significantly. I doubt it but it's the only reason I can come up with other than this year's schedule.

Wonder how many are Aggies buying for the one game only and planning to sell the TCU ticket (or vice versa)...I know several that have asked about doing that.

Might be reaching, but the "SMU update" alumni email said sales up 33%. Smumustangs.com has been saying +1700 for awhile. So, if in the last couple of weeks they've pushed 1700 to 2000, that would suggest we are somewhere between 7 and 8000 assuming the 33% and 1700 were somewhat accurate

I think the schedule helps, but not sure we have had enough success quite yet to get young alums to fork over the money; close, but we really need to do something special to get kids engaged while they're in school so they are motivated to buy tix when they graduate. Then I think the spike becomes sustainable.
As for me, this is my first time buying season tickets: 4 total so I can bring one extra person in addition to my wife and daughter. Hopefully the first of many seasons for us!

Schedule is a big reason why, IMO. But can't downplay the factor of recent sustained success (3 bowls) in getting people old and young buying in.
Good news all around, though.

The true test of season ticket sales will be the attendance at the SFA and conference games.

We'll have a lot of SFA fans, too. I'll have at least 5 with me at my spot. They already asked if they can bring their trailer smoker with them. I complied.

We need to implement a trailer smoker fee.
