I had a college kid working at a car wash stop me the other day excited to see my SMU-PONY vhicle license. All he could talk about was how much he learned about SMU from Pony Excess expecially the history and tradition. He indicated that if he had known more at an earlier stage of his college searching he would have given SMU much consideration. He had even followed the SMU admission to the Beast. Amazing what this production has done for SMU even here in Pennsylvania. Maybe more than JJ or even LB to date.

Who would want to watch that poop, seriously it looks like a bunch of chimpanzees got together in a room with old SMU footage and tried to cut something together. Really, the people who made that should be ashamed. That movie is worse than Ishtar.
BTW - it was on again the other night, middle of the night.... Even if I don't know that it's going to be on, I always know it was on because I get random friend requests on FB/new followers on Twitter every single time... granted, I can't remember the last time I Tweeted, but still... I guess it's the waiting that make it worth it.
On the other hand, everytime I randomly see it on TV, I stand up and cheer.... not because of my feelings for the movie, but because I have that special feeling that I am a part of bringing SMU Football back to the national consciousness. I grew up a lover of SMU football, but without any athletic ability... I am so humbled to be a part of this. It's exhilarating that it still gets played over and over and over again.

I'll be announcing it soon on national airwaves. As soon as I do, I will also post about it here... I can tell you at least that it is about a team close to Dallas, and as I said before it involves college football in the 1980s. (And no, it's not about TCU, UNT, etc. ... think outside the Metroplex but still within comfortable driving distance.... also, it's not UT, even though our production has been based out of Austin.)
