Heard about this a while ago.... seems like he tried to make a joke that wasn't funny but taken way out of context by the media...

If Bill Clinton was a football coach, Franklin's theory would mean that Clinton couldn't get a job at Vandy. Hillary is (was) not a D1 wife, but I am pretty sure Clinton would have been a recruiting machine.

Yeah, he claimed it was a joke, but as a public figure like he is, you have to be smart enough to know you can't joke like that, because it obviously doesn't come across as a joke to everyone. He's a young coach, but he's smart. He'll learn from this mistake.

I have not seen where there has been any major fallout due to the comment.

I have no problem with hiring coaches that have hot wives.
