Baylor is loaded at WR

This is a bit concerning now that they should need to throw forward passes against us.

We'll see if he can stay out of trouble. Talented kid who could help out but reportedly has a zero tolerance situation.

Wouldn't it be ironic if some Baylor alum gave him a car to commit to the Bears and he got caught driving it, arrested, and dismissed from the team for violating probation.

Out of our two schools only one has been documented giving cars to players and it isn't Baylor.

Maybe not documented but they got them just like all the other SWC teams did. Only difference was we won when we did it.

BU during the Meyer/Collins years at SMU:

"only difference is we won"
1 less win per year than SMU on average
1 less league title (but won another two years before Meyer arrived)
ZERO NCAA violations in football and SMU got busted for the same thing twice. We were one of only 3 SWC schools to not get dinged. Rice, Baylor and Arkansas.

Yes, I'm sure Alfred Anderson and others never got anything.

Even with that selective statistic it ends up being 8.7 wins per year vs 7. Not the dominant statistic the original comment I replied to implied.

Look I once again am not trying to start stuff up. Just trying to defend my school where I feel it is appropriate. I have a good respect for what JJ is building at SMU and I really like the Brown hire. Glad we are playing you guys again.

I always find it cute the way statistics can be used to try and justify anything. Fact is we bought players in an effort to build a team to win the national championship. By some accounts we were successful and others we made it to #2. During the same time Baylor was paying players they did not make anywhere near that level. Simple statement of ROI.

We didn't have a payroll to meet. Come on. There is a reason we weren't busted like everyone else.

Yikes, we're not going to stop Baylor's offense full of track stars from scoring. Gilbert needs to play out of his mind for us to hang around in this one.

I feel a lot better needing to rely on Mason to have his guys ready to play out of their minds vs having to rely on our O to be otherworldly
