Word on the street is 2012 season ticket sales are up 45% over last season and the highest in more than 2 decades. Does someone have last year's total to come up with a total for current sales so far?

When I went in to ask about adding seats near mine, I asked about the page that was up when you go to smumustangs.com that said sales were up 1700 over last year. The guy I spoke with said it was more like 2500 more than last year, and he expected more than 3000 more season tickets than last year. I'm not sure what that does to the percentages, because I thought we had close to 10K last year, which means the jump must be more than 3000 so far if that 45 percent bump is accurate.

That and they are probably counting the mini-season ticket deals as season tickets.

Mini-Plans do not count in our season ticket sales. We're up 45% YTD and at the highest level in 25+ years. #PonyUp

I believe we topped out at 8,200 last year.

I think the total will rise very sharply as the season gets closer. Most people are probably thinking about college football about now instead of a few months ago. Especially since the first poll came out and practice starts this weekend.

The first pre-season NFL game starts this weekend. Once people realize it's becoming football season again it will be a scramble to get tickets. I think a lot of people wait until the last minute.

I can't believe that Aggies buying season tickets is that big a factor. I say that because yesterday I bought 4 tickets for the A&M game in the upper center section of the east side. If I was an aggie buying season tickets to get tickets to the game those are the ones I would buy.

I wonder how much the Rangers success affected our attendance last year?

A person at the ticket office said that we just surpassed the 3,000 new season tickets this week!

We had 2 home games that occurred on the same day as Rangers games

Sep 10 vs. UTEP (26,691)-home opener
Sep 10 vs. Oak (46,151)-division rival, had 10,000 fewer fans for the Friday game of the series

Oct 15 vs. UCF (22,932)
Oct 15 vs. Det (51,508)- AL Pennant deciding game
