very ancient. and i believe it was explained as well. i think it had something to do with not being able to sufficiently secure the plywood on the outside but being able to do so internally.

When Ike went through a few years ago...the Kyle boys didn't want to mar the facing of the front of the store or the outer frames, so they attached it to the interior. Anyone that has lived in Florida or the gulf coast could have explained that the pressure of the shattered window would force the boards and flood after the fact, BUT...not the Kyle boys! You gotta love Aggies...they try so hard...
