He seems to be a true dual threat QB a la JWill.

The last time Kevin Sumlin rolled out a freshman QB it went very badly for us. I hope we remember that.

I was going to mention that but did not think it would be recalled. I guess his backup will be named Bro.

That would be a pleasant surprise considering they didn't even breathe on Tannehill last year and A&M's o-line is still one of the best in the country.

Great high school QB. I think Kerrville won 4A State his senior year. Real fast with a good arm.

You know, Manziel. The bra for men as noted in that episode of Seinfeld.

Kramer might use a different term for ATM backup QB Jameill Showers instead of Bro, if you know what I mean

Don't think so. I was at the playoff game that Garett Gilbert/Lake Travis beat Kerrville Tivy. It was played in San Antonio and was possibly the best high school game I've ever seen. Johny Football came out on the losing end but trust me-he was the REAL deal in HS.

Manziel had a great career at Tivy and had a lot of mid major type offers and a couple of big time offers (Oregon, Stanford & Baylor if you consider them big time...pretty sure JJ liked him, Rivals doesn't list SMU as offering but I thought we did). He initially committed to Oregon. A&M was a late August offer and he promptly switched his commitment to them. I think the only knock on him was that he was labeled a dual threat qb instead of being listed as a pro style passer..think a lot of people thought everyone would offer based on his on field achievements but the Texas', Oklahoma's etc all passed. Also think he was only 6'1" which probably scared people away.
