Just got this via email. What is this all about?

Dear Friends, Boosters and Fans of Conference USAInstitutions:

Conference USA is committed to establishing itself as anational leader in intercollegiate athletics, with a strong emphasis on sportsmanship andintegrity. The Conference, with the support of the Presidents and athletics administrators atall twelve institutions, has developed an extensive sportsmanship program designed to improveawareness and encourage positive behavior at all athletic events.

This letter is to ask for your assistance in thiseffort. Please help spread the word that Conference USA and its member institutions are knownfor great teams that conduct themselves in competition with class, dignity and honor. Youractions both home and away, are extremely important to the image of your team and yourinstitution. You can have a positive impact on the guests that visit your institution and theexperiences of the participating student-athletes. Please adopt a philosophy of respect andresponsibility and help your fellow fans do the same.

Thanks for your support of Conference USA and this veryimportant sportsmanship initiative. It is most appreciated.

Those rowdy CUSA schools...........wonder if the SEC sends out anything like this?

Looks more like CYA to me. Box is now checked against any lawsuit.

Aimed at Rice! Seriously, though, I have visited several CUSA schools, including ECU, Marshall, Rice and UH and have found their fans for the most part to be pretty friendly.
