I thought I'd get this going.

Over the past few years, we have shot ourselves in the foot in the first half of the first game be it TOs, 3 and outs, etc. I pray that this time around is different.

My heart tells me SMU can pull off a big win, but my gut is telling me Baylor takes care of us.

Baylor 38 SMU 24

In order to have shot, we have to:
1) TAKE CARE OF THE BALL. No turnovers-especially in the first quarter
2) Make the most of our chances in the red zone.
3) Exploit BU's weakness in the secondary.
4) Pressure Nick Florence into hurried throws.

IF we do all of these things, we have a good shot.

SMU 35, BAYLOR 31 - Oline holds up well enough and GG impresses, Zach does his thing. Gets close in 4th, but the Ponies hang on.

In honor of the incredible history of the SMU/Baylor Series. SMU takes a 21-0 First Half Lead. Baylor comes storming back to take 35-27 lead. SMU has late drive but Gilbert throws interception in End Zone. I've lived through that scenario about 5 times-about time some of you experience how great College Football can be when you are playing games people actually give a [deleted] about. Adios Suckers I'm headed to the Caribbean. Season prediction 7-5 but with more upside than downside potential in CUSA due to weakness in CUSA. Its a jump-ball-SMU, UH, Tulsa, Southern Miss and maybe even UCF (if NCAA sanctions are removed) all should have a legitimate shot

I can't see SMU winning on the road with a new QB. Baylor returns 16 starters. Although Baylor lost their best WR (they have one of the top projected WRs for next years draft back) and RB (don't think there will be a drop off here), Baylor did lose RGIII which will really hurt. However Briles, like Jones, has proven he can win behind any QB. Baylor's offense won't be as dynamic but they will be good.

SMU plays better defense but you are underselling Bennett. Our secondary was terrible because of injuries. Not so this year with a ton of speed. We also have a new set of LBs, no where as good as SMU, but it will be a step up for Baylor over last year. Our DL against SMU OL will be the key to the game in my opinion.

Baylor should win but SMU can win this game.

Baylor 41- SMU 38

This is not a must win for us. Tulsa and UH are must wins. All we have to do is have some big plays and keep it really competitive for TV audience. And NO major injuries.

SMU 40
Baylor 38

Somewhere, in a parallel universe, Mike Ford curses thee, Stallion.

This is the most important game we will play. This game is the most important to me personally.
Baylor should win, but I think we don't fumble on the one yard line, throw a pick, or miss the field goal at the gun.

The kick will be good. SMU 24 Baylor 22, again.
