Saw this story about USC's new training facility. The most interesting part was the mention of an undergound practice facility.

Does anyone else have a facility underground? http://www.diehardsport.com/2012/08/22/ ... lity-pics/

If we want one, we could always build something under the frat houses and the IM fields.

We can't. Construction crew would damage the illuminati bunker under the park cities.

This is why USC rules the west coast. Even with all the Nike money, Oregon can't compete. No program anywhere can really. That said, I still like our set up. Just need that IPF.

Go Ponies!!

Exactly where I want to be during an earthquake...in an underground practice facility. That would make the Cowboys practice bubble collapse look like a walk in the park.

All those skyscrapers collapsing into their extensive underground levels and parking garages sure have been deadly.

Just appreciate the cynicism and move on, please. No need for facts.

My impression was that the field in the facility was well below ground level, but the roof was above the ground, not that the entire facility was buried. It makes sense to me because you can have an indoor facility with a ceiling high enough for punts, etc but the building does not have to look so high from the outside.

Could be a good option for getting the right look on our campus without the crazy expense of making it totally underground.

Thanks. That sounds like something reasonable.

So true. Think of the thousands that were killed in the DART and Addison tunnels during the last huge earthquake in Dallas!! Death traps!

that was what I was envisioning. I don't see how the entire thing could be underground.
