The Washington Redskins reportedly traded CB Kevin Barnes - a former third-round pick out of Maryland - to the Detroit Lions Monday, leading several media wonks to speculate the team has more faith in SMU's Richard Crawford than many realized.

I wonder what they traded him for.

Not much, I assume. He had a lot of promise coming out of Maryland, and was thought to have extra value this year as a possible cornerback/safety hybrid. There was a report earlier in the day that he had been cut, so if they got anything for him, I would assume it would be a seventh-round pick or the always-impressive "player to be named later."

Thanks, I just hope they did not trade for another DB.
