We are in trouble at corner

Here's to hoping #2 can figure out how to cover average receivers because he's an absolute liability on the field...and I feel I am being gracious by even implying he has a presence on the field.

Yep, he's Bennie Thomas bad. No way to hide him. Embarrassing how bad our depth is at corner.

We need more slot receivers. That will win it for us!

LOL it's amazing how many receivers we have on this team despite the fact that June mostly likes to stick with the starting 4.

Yes, we have issues at CB. Too bad the coaching staff is unwilling to provide help, and would rather see us torched in one-on-one coverage all night.

I said that all along. Middleton leaving hurt and, of course, JR's injury hurt. Our safeties are the weakest link on this entire team with the DL not far behind, and I've been saying it since the spring.

Parks at corner is not what lost us the game. He played pretty good even when the game broke open for a while. They were running on us as well.

Corners without pressure on the QB will always lose. Our problem wasn't a corner or two getting beat, our problem was zero pressure in the QB. Put pressure on the QB and all of a sudden the CB will get better. Hunt was non existent. I know he has potential but he has got to up his game and do more with that 6' 8" frame.

I agree with PonyTE that's why I was pulling so hard for Holloway to get in here. We need quick guys at DE, but both starters (even Hunt) are overrated. Grenier is 3rd string type guy and the others aren't even really D1 guys (Barnes, etc). I was surprised we didn't blitz more, but then you expose your corners.

As I feared they were better than us in the trenches, that's where games are won. Of course they were also better than us everywhere else.

Cant totally blame the DB's, agree, its the front seven that makes or breaks the DB's, and tonite the front seven broke our DB's, where was our pass rush or LB's attacking, didnt happen, but it will, hoping it will be sooner than later

During Baylor's first offensive series, we had 4 penalties that kept their drive alive and allowed them to go down the field score and set the tone for the rest of the night. And the screwups were mostly by our SENIORS who should know better!

After the Greiner roughin the passer on 3rd and 16 was a killer, looked like we held and had them punting deep in their territory, momentum completely changed after that, one bad penalty early led seemed to feed in to other bonehead penalties in the first quarter...unfortunately, if we would have made a big play early could have changed the complexion of the game, just didnt happen tonite... also Florence had us jumping offsides like a bunch of kangeroos, dont we practice not listening to the QB's cadence and watching the ball being snapped ?

I'm going to give Parks the benefit of the doubt considering it was week one, game one, but that kid needs to live and breathe this tape for the next 2 weeks. He was singled out and exploited and he HAS to step up in this pass-happy league...pressure on the QB or not.
