I agree but how long does that last. We took a big step and now we need to take another step forward. We can't lose to unranked programs no matter who they are.

So as long as we get to 7 and 5 while getting beat badly by BCS teams it should be fine with all?

Teams that are "back" don't embarrass themselves to mediocre Baylor. West Virginia will show you how good Baylor isn't. We are not back.

Sorry to disagree, but it isn't just one game. It is the constant lack of interest in SMU and that is detrimental to our players. It shows in the flatness. Getting beat when you play with heart is one thing, but getting beat because your coach could give a crap is another.

I'm so happy you all love being pissed on by everyone in Texas. This isn't high school football, we paid June big time money and he did great for 2 years now we need a NEW step forward

Again June has had more flexibility to win than any other coach since the DP, according to his win words. After 4 seasons as coach no one should be accepting of what happened tonight unless we just want to stay in CUSA.

I graduated in 2006, I've watched quite a bit of losing football but not nearly as much as you old timers. As I've said many times, us making 3 bowls in a row is a product of this new bloated postseason model where every team gets a ribbon, it's not that impressive and is the least I expected once we actually started trying to win at football. When this program was on top we were making bowls that mattered, now not so much.

I agree with you young man. I was there during the our glory days. Almost every school goes to a bowl game and honestly it really doesn't mean anything. Top 25 and BCS earns respect, everyone else is a nobody

June Jones was brought in to turn the program around, not to take us to a BCS title. He just isn't cut out for that it seems. He has succeeded with flying colors in turning the program around, but we've plateaued over the last few years. Unless SMU somehow turns it around and beats both A&M and TCU, I expect this season to practically mirror what we saw the last two years. June Jones is the guy yo turn it around, but he can't win the conference, let alone a BCS bowl game, and that's the goal for us now.

He will ride into the Hawaiian sunset after this year... Aloha.
