Since most of you seem to be complaining about everything, I'm going to point out what impressed me about our team ...
- OL (looked good, great pass protection/good run blocking).
- Zach Line!
- Dieter (catching, blocking, dude needs to start I don't care if he's a freshmen he's better than at least 1 of our starters)
- Der'Rik Thompson
- Acker (bottled up his guy most the night and made some good tackles - the ONLY baller in our secondary, though, unfortunately).
- Punting/Kickoffs (several nice punts, deep kickoffs)
- Conner looked good but not enough snaps to really gauge - not really surprised since he's a Cali guy and all (was Robert Lee's QB after all).
- At times GG looked good but the dude has GOT to put more touch on his passes (some of those drops were just balls thrown like rockets)
- 507 yards of total offense against a BCS school
Everything else sucked.

OL looked good. Zach ran well/hard. Not much else to really take away that was positive.

My car wasn't on blocks after the game!! That stadium is in a $hithole, and the stadium was a big turd.

Zach Line completely healthy
Haven't seen stats yet but it seemed like Jeremy Johnson kept making plays until the whistle
-big questionmarks that SMU couldn't answer big Baylor plays at end of 2nd Q and 4th Q. Too easy. Got to play 4 Quarters

Lots of yardage was in garbage time.....reminded me of the early post-DP days.

Another one, great fan support at an away game.

Punting. Punting. Punting.
I know there's nowhere to go but up, but our punters looked amazing compared to the last few years. I needed new shorts after seeing a punt travel 45 yards.

Imagine how Houston feels after losing 30-13 to Texas State.

i thought our crowd was good. we are a very small school and i would guess there are many much bigger schools with better success then us that brought less to Waco.

-- Zach Line is a beast. Straight-up beast.
-- Offensive line did a fine job. We had 59 pass plays and gave up no sacks. Hats off to the big guys up front.
-- Gilbert looked good some of the time and not so good at other times. Agreed to the comment about him looking tense and throwing darts when he needed more touch, but he also made some throws that recent QBs couldn't make.
-- That touchdown catch by Dieter was impressive. There's a difference between having a tall receiver and having a tall receiver with the strength and the juevos to go up and snatch a high pass. He has a chance to be the latter.
-- Jonathan Yenga made a nice tackle on Seastrunk.
-- Pittman got in between their interior linemen on more than one occasion, forcing inside runs to the outside.
-- If he's not careful, Jeremy Johnson is going to be really, really good.
-- Jay Scott made a couple of really nice plays to break up high passes.

I liked what I saw from Preston and Dieter in garbage time. Looks like they could contribute if needed later on down the road
This game was a physical mis-match and I'm afraid that's going to be the case every time we suit up against BCS teams. Just hope we get to conference play without any season ending injuries

That's what happens when you recruit primarily "under the radar" or "diamond in the rough" players. For how much our head coach is being paid, one would think we could have more success against Baylor than the late 80-early 90's teams had.
