I hope we find a sub for Zach Line during the game

If he continues to play the entire game taking shots like yesterday he will be injured again before the end of the season without someone else coming in for him every once and a while IMO. Glad to see we are finally substituting receivers a little now.

I said this last year after most games. It is absolutely ridiculous to have him play every single snap, block and run. Is he still on special teams too??
June's common sense meter is always in question to me.

It's not like we don't have other decent backs. Line playing into the 4th is a head scratcher. He definitely needs some breathers during the game.

Unless they are just trying to break Dickerson's record he needs some breathers for sure IMO.

I've been saying that since we recruited Darryl Fields. I'm kind of shocked that Nlemchi isn't getting some touches, but maybe he's still injured. Wimbley is not a feature back. And with Jared out, Nlemchi should be getting about 5-6 carries/game IMHO with Zach getting 20 and Wimbley a few gametime situation relevant of course.

I'm expecting he will have to play the entire game with TCU and A&M, so...why not test his endurance. Hopefully we can get a good lead in SFA game that will allow some rest on every other drive and he's out on many 3rd downs, right? We have an off week after A&M in front of TCU.

No he is not out on many 3rd downs. Sometimes an RB gets hurt when they are overworked (see last year). That is why is NFL now mostly has a 2 back system for most teams.

Nlemchi is the one that should be getting 5-6 carries. Wimbley is a blocker and a body to lean on the DT's / LBs a little. Dare I say, he's not even as powerful as Zach is (hard to beat I'll give you that). Nlemchi is the stud - give him the rock and let him fail fast because the talent is there.

But he has never seen the field.

Exactly. He needs to see the field.
I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I'd play my talent early and often and to heck with "experience".
Cases in point . . .
Sanders over Jones last year
Dieter over Holman this year
Roundtree over Ryan Smith this year
Holloway over Grenier this year (even if he has one week of practice he's better . . . I don't care if he's "inexperienced" --- 6'5", 260 and run a 4.5 40, you just tell him to go get the guy with the ball as fast as you can - not rocket science)

Zach is a man. It really says something when he plays every single snap, and never asked for a breather. Then Wimbley comes in, runs 30 yards, and immediately starts tapping his helmet for a breather.
But man did Baylor keep hitting Zach hard every play. They were attacking Sunday.

well, that sould seem to be a legit argument. might as well be this week if we ever plan to ease him in.
