I'm sorry to all SMU fans and to RICE ones as well. I had a bad day and so did the Ponies last Sunday. Today is a new day and as fans we should take it one week at a time and see what happens at the end of the season. I've been a PONY FAN since 1978 and I just went a little too over the top, yesterday is all.
Once again, I'm sorry to all our fans for my out-burst and just want to move on. Have a great day to all of you!
Go Ponies~

No problem - that is what the board is for. We know you'll be back - you are sick like the rest of us. Now lets take it out on the Lumberjacks. See you Sat. And please no need to apologize to the Rice fans; they know how pathetic and unfunny their band is and how bad their team is.

You are so right that I could never give up on "OUR PONIES". After the past 2 decades of being everyones toilet paper, I'm very proud of the last 3 years on the Hilltop.

Like I said everyone just needs time to vent. And it probably won't be the last time. Some people think that passionate fans are suppose to get over losses like this in one hour.

Takes more of a man to apologize than to committ a mistake, welcome back and pony up.

I agree, we fans were deeply disappointed in our game with Baylor. The defense made me want to scream! I just hope I can live long enough to see our school back in the Top 25. But by today, my optimism had returned. Its COLLEGE football where anything can happen. So see you at the game, in my white shirt. And do it for us boys, some of us don't have that long to wait.

Baylor may be a lot better than people think, and SMU will be better prepared the next few weeks.

It's more likely we're worse than most people think, Baylor has some horses on offense but they won't take on teams that displayed our massive amount of ineptitude every week.

Think you are wrong on this. We were inept, but Baylor is a good team with a good coach, at least on offense

we all get emotional at times because we are heavily invested in this program, but the bottom line with that Baylor game is that it is in the past and all it means is that we are not going to go undefeated this year. TCU and A&M games will still provide a barometer for how wide the gap is between our program vs those of legitimate BCS programs

I have to agree with both. I think Baylor is at least an 8-4 team in the Big 12, and we are a 4-8 team in C-USA.

I admit that I thought we would do much better against Baylor's defense. Last year they were not that good.

We won't really know how good Baylor is until they take on someone with a pulse. I'd wager they're more like A&M 2011 or Tech 2010, made us look bad in an opener but end up looking mediocre in conference play.

I think there was cause for optimism if we can just cut down on the mistakes and take advantage when inside the opponents 30 and smarter in the playcalling. Score right before half on DJs int and its 14-10 after playing a pretty bad half. Things just got out of hand in the second half with the fumble return for a td and not being able to prevent the bombings and panick set in. We weren't out-manned physically just outcoached in a few areas
