I assume Texas and Oklahoma have lower buyouts than the other how ever many schools, right?

Hopefully that is a good sign for the BE negotiations.

Probably not good sign because there is only so much money and this leaves only NBC and CBS with amble money power (which I hate both networks as most can tell) ugh big 12 gets everything...

we dont care who gets us - there just has to be two bidders and they both need to win. this helps those conversations.

NBC ans the BE are almost made for each other. I hope they get a good deal out of it if ESPN low balls the BE.

Doesn't this make BE to NBC more likely since NBC needs programming and ABC/ESPN are out of the mix.

No I'm not doubting we will get a deal from NBC I just don't think they have the budget of ESPN (dedicated college football channel that's backed by Disney and ABC). Since NBC is trying to get into the market I wouldn't be surprised getting 5 mil a team (lower than ESPN previous deal). If they pair up with CBS maybe the same as old ESPN deal, and chance of not having those channel in your bundle packages with providers. That's all I'm saying and personally hate all NBC staff.

NBC has already made it know that they will offer 14 to 16 mil per year to the BE. A couple of articles have been posted already on their potential offer. I personally like the NBC staff. ESPN and it's anti BE attitude can go jump in a lake.

Bleh. Well if we get 14-16 mil then I can deal with the staff. Fortunately i can control volume!

As long as Chris Collingsworth doesn't do any of our games, I am ok with NBC.

For $14-$16mm I wouldn't care if it was a combo of Colinsworth and Dennis Miller.
