The Thadsta has asked us involved in the new edit to sit on this until SMU released it.
As you know the commercial was more a labor of love on the part of Thaddeus even though it was supposed to be entirely funded by the posters here on PonyFans.
As I was involved in the production, I can tell you that Thaddeus ended up funding the costs out of his own pocket; apparently a number of people who pledged funds failed to honor their commitment.
If you like the video and pledged funds which somehow got overlooked I'm sure Thaddeus would be happy to receive them.
Also if you just like the video and would like to tell Thaddeus "thank you for all your efforts" for the Ponies, I'm sure he wouldn't say no to a bit of funding to allow him to at least break even.
I'm sure Treadway has the funding apparatus still in place to provide for tax deductible contribution.

the least he could have done is put the right stripes on the uniforms and helmets.

Throw in a couple of $k and I am sure it can be done. 
More will be forthcoming on this soon. Thaddeus did rework the video to match the campaign.
To piggyback what HB said, ponyfans raised over $6k for this project, but unfortunately, Thaddeus had to spend his own money to get it done to his high standards. We did a good job of donating money, but the anonymous nature of the board and the donation confidentially of the Mustang Club made tracking very difficult.
Kudos to Ponyfans, but please donate if you hadn't already. We can also be proud that our initiative produced a great video by Thad that is actually going to get some play this year.
I will post a link and instructions to donate tomorrow. Thanks Thad, HB, and all ponyfans that donated to this project.
