The penalty against them was a convenience to the NCAA,,,criminal and civil, yes, but NCAA happily jumped on a bandwagon that suited it's purpose. The program should have been shut down by the school, not by threat of the NCAA.

That said, (and perhaps in the minority here) the players that are going through this year and the scrutiny and criticism that they will endure is in my thinking to be admired rather than condemned,
