I know we given complained quite a bit about gameday presentation in the past, so I thought I would throw out some props after tonight's game.
First off, the PA announcer is SOOOOOOOO much better than what we've had in the past. Great job there.
Second, the announcers on the field & in the crowd were a nice touch. Nice segue to show the band as well.
We're making progress.

Agree. Except for me being nitpicky about the PA guy calling our opponent "FSA" once and "Stephen F." (No Austin) a few times (understandable mistakes), I can't find too many problems with the game presentation.
But can we please find some song to play other than Crazy Train? Ozzy is great, but we played that over and over and over.

Yeah, our music selection was definitely poor. At one point, they rolled out a bit of Prince, but it got turned down quickly (or should I say thankfully).

Didn't really like them playing that song with the laughing just as the first half offense statistics were being shown on the scoreboard
Best since Bill Melton. This guy is really good. Keep him.

Have to agree. I like the bit of color injected, like when he noted someone got "blown up"

Game presentation was great. Vastly improved! New PA announcer is named Scott Garner. Great guy, been the former radio play-by-play voice of A&M Commerce and Frisco Rough Riders. Have know him personally for 15 years and is the consumate pro. Welcome to the Ford, Scott! Great to have you.

Game announcer was good. Game presentation was improved. Our band is great and have a BIG sound - just way too small for a soon to be BCS school. I'm not a band person but I am glad the university is focusing on them. They deserve it - they work hard. I think our new AD will continue to improve the over all game experience at SMU.

I definitely noticed the improved game presentation...no kiss cam, less ”mini mustangs cheerleaders” type stuff, and better overall flow to the announcements.
A huge step in the right direction. Now about that offense and our recruiting....
Did they give me my props when they played this...

There weren't any horrible face palm moments. So it was far and away the best game presentation I've seen at SMU.
One nitpick: What computer system are they using that doesn't support an ampersand on the scores? "Texas A&M"

he did seem to be confused about what down it really was on several occasions.

I do like how they include the SMU score in the ticker in case you don't know which game you are attending.

They had the score wrong on the SMU game at one point. The top of the scoreboard showed SMU 52 - SFA 0, but the ticket read "Stephen F. Austin 0 SMU 45"
