watching the replay but I was surprised to find that after going 1 for 16 or something on 3rd/4th Down to Texas State and FIRING their Offensive Coordinator, they put up almost 700 yards with Piland throwing for 580 yards hitting on about 70% with 4 TDs and No Ints. How do you lose with those stats? I guess you got to credit a strong Louisuiana Tech team. UH Defense must be pretty bad. But I guess they at least adressed their offensive incompetency. They play UCLA next.

I watched part of that game. LT's offense did whatever it wanted against the UH defense. UH offense made just enough mistakes to not score at will. My guess is that by the time we face UH, they will be a much better team, but the team I fear in CUSA is Tulsa.

I fear UCF. If you watched the Ohio St game you saw a team that was not physically overmatched or overwhelmed by playing in front of 100k.

while we are at it, i fear Rice a little bit too. I really like the way Rice schedules, somehow they have home and home series with UCLA, Purdue and Kansas, not 2 for 1s either as far as I know. I like playing texas schools like Baylor and Aggie, but we better toughen up if we are gonna do it year in and year out.

Tulsa, UCF and USM seem to be the class of the conference at the moment and we will learn a lot about SMU this weekend. UTEP is pretty decent as well, especially at home. One week the Cougars totally blow it on offense and the next week the offense is very solid. The defense has played one good half (second vs. TSU). Beat the Aggies!

With the way our offense looks and the ungodly amounts of yardage our defense is giving up, about the only team remaining on our schedule that I am not afraid of is Tulane.
