DALLAS (SMU)- With the big SMU-Texas A&M game set for Saturday, SMU is asking fans to "WEAR RED, BE EARLY & BE LOUD!"

Moving forward, SMU Athletics is asking fans to wear red to all SMU Athletic events to show support for the Mustangs. Fans are also asked to arrive at Ford Stadium early and to be in their seats by kickoff. This week’s game will feature a flyover of T-38s from the United States Air Force’s 80th Flying Training Wing from Sheppard Air Force Base following the National Anthem. As always, Mustang fans are asked to BE LOUD!

Yes, RED is such a great choice playing the MAROON aggies. BLUE would have been my choice.

Well, that's demonstrably false, but who cares. Early and loud is the important part.

Yes, 100% of the time every time, except when you ask fans to wear white.

WTH?...we were asked to have a 'white out' at a 50 % sold stadium which was non effective, and now we are asked to wear red when we have a maroon color opponent coming in?...you don't ask the other team to change, you choose how you want to be effective with the color scheme and if you think about it and plan accordingly..... the 'white out' theme would be MUCH more effective this weekend with a close to sold out stadium, and especially since TAMU historically comes in with maroon on. THEY aren't going to change. SID I disagree with your statement and plan for this weekend.

Its not really going out of our way to wear blue, its still one of our colors.....it just makes sense. Picking the best color our colors to wear depending on who we are playing is not exactly bending over backwards or anything....

Of course, with our fan base it's difficult to get people to do much of anything that requires coordination and effort. I applaud the effort to just pick a color and to try to get the word out.

As much as I (and most people) would like the chosen color to be blue - if they say red - it's red.

Everyone needs to quit throwing a hissy fit. Get off your high horses. This is football, who cares what color the crowd is. Get over it.

Does it really matter? I don't think the players or coaches care. "Just win baby". A packed supportive crowd that is supportive no matter the score until the game is over......yea kinda like our opponent. Yes it is cool to stand and yell too!
