this is going to be a jumbled mess of what ive seen so far, i dont read or post as much on this site anymore because it has taken a significant turn down (thats a post for another day, but i realize that statement aloe will probably get this deleted), so i dont care if these have already been discussed

1. acker didnt score on the blocked fg. i didnt watch the game live because i had other obligations. That being said, every view I have seen clearly shows him pulling a desean jackson. Hope he got his @ss chewed out during film becaus in a game that matters that could kill us.

2. Line looks (Z line) looks great. I could see him being drafted if he drops some lbs and runs a decent 40. then bulks back up before camp. the online hasnt done much for him but better then expected

3. margus. stud. still learning the game. with back problems. i have seen other ex D1 players talk about back injuries (and other injuries) on here. for those of you al bundys out there its different in college. and he is new to the sport. he will be a drafted 1-3 round based on pontential

4. dehriggggg or however you spell his last name is better then i expected. yes he had all of the accolades coming out of high school but i chalked it up to being a big receiver in a [deleted] state (yes some view it as a good football state but lets be real). he may be the new comer of the year for CUSA (outside of GG)

5. our recruiting is terrible. i was listening to colin cowherd the other day interviewing jim ora, and 90% of the interview was directed towards klemm. those of you who are ignorant enough to not see what we lost, then that shows how much you know about building a program

6. stallion has pissed people off with his prinz and other recruit bs that good schools recruit guys who arent affraid of competition. I agree with both sides. yes we should recruit the best even if we have to sit them. But we also need guys who want to be here. like any good company, firm, military, etc. You have career guys, middlemen, and then you have the others. our staff has been able to only manage status quo so i am not impressed.

7. UNIFORMS... controversy. I have not been to a game in person. i havent touched the jerseys. i havent worn the jerseys. but in my opinion they are not THAT bad to strike up all of this debate. Could they be better? yes! could they be worse? yes! are they simple yet appealing to recruits? yes. and i know stallion and ponyte will get on me about this, but its important to keep up with the times. Please argue with me because everyone from UCLA to texas to florida state to the red sox to the yankees to the chicago bull and los angeles lakers have changed their looks. Point being the uniforms dont look that bad. not great, but not bad. then again i like stallions mullet....

8. i hope for a good game this weekend. if we staye with in 20 i will be happy

JG pulled the same stunt and didn't score either. These guys need to get their asses chewed so it doesn't happen again.

I'd almost forgotten the kind of guys Klemm was bringing in for visits...check this old old report out from 12/11...Jake Meador ended up signing with Wisconsin and Westbrook signednwith UCLA...we also had a visit from Simon Goines, I believe, who also ended up signing. Carl Hulick obviously switched to UCLA (Westbrook is grey shirting this year after a brain aneurism in July):

Whiteland offensive tackle Jake Meador made the long haul from Indiana to Texas this past weekend for his official to visit to SMU and enjoyed the change of scenery.

Meador has now taken official visits to SMU, Missouri and Indiana. "It was my first time in Dallas and at SMU. I had a really good time," Meador said. "The campus was really nice. The facilities were really nice too. I really enjoyed being on campus. The coaches were really laid back and are very good at what they do. I also thought it was neat how Dallas was right there."

On the visit, Meador was able to converse with fellow four-star offensive lineman Lacy Westbrook. Meador said talking to Westbrook was refreshing considering their similar circumstances. Both are currently committed to programs that are experiencing a coaching transition, which led them to ponder new schools including SMU.

"I got a chance to talk to Lacy. He's still committed to UCLA, but it was great to meet him on the visit. We had a really good time. We'll definitely keep in contact. I also talked to Carl Hulick for a little bit, and he explained why he committed to SMU. It was really nice to know a few of the guys chose SMU over other big schools."

The 33rd ranked offensive tackle in the nation also connected with a few of the team's current players and was happy to learn what it takes to be an offensive lineman at SMU.

"My player host was Joey Fontana. We hung out a lot with Ben Gottschalk, who is also an offensive lineman. It was cool to get a feel of how their lives are like on campus. They just explained how the offensive line practices and how everything works. They told me there was a spot open, and that I could come in and play. It was just really cool getting to meet some of the players."

SMU offensive line coach Adrian Klemm was instrumental in getting Meador to visit the Hilltop, and the two are quickly developing a solid relationship.

"He's a real straight shooter. He's really laid back. It seems like he really communicates with all the guys. He has a good relationship with all his players. He told me that they need a big athletic guy at tackle. He said I could come in and play early. I got to meet Coach [June] Jones too, and he explained how he runs things. He seems like a good coach."

Meador has also taken official visits to Missouri and Indiana. The 6-foot-7, 305-pounder Ole Miss, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Kentucky are all possible destinations for his last two officials. Meador also said his final decision may not be announced until National Signing Day.

Davon Moreland committed to unlv but is not on their roster

I had read they were looking at Moreland the week before signing date but he never actually signed and their local guy didn't think it was likely-probably still academics-would probably have to go through JUCO when he didn't make it in first year after high school. Again I don't think a single kid that was not admitted to SMU under June jones has ever started a game in Division 1A

Not good recruiting - This is all you need to know. You can throw all the other stuff out the window.

Acker got another TD in the second half and ran with the ball all the way to the back of the end zone before letting go of the ball...he obviously got an [deleted] chewing at half time...well deserved for sure. 8)
