FYI I heard RIch Phillips say this morning on the Ticket that he thought the crowd was 33% SMU and 66% ATM. I was shocked as he is usually partial to SMU. Was he just way off????

From my view it was about 40 - 60 (maybe a bit more when the students were in full force). 33% is too low.

Keep in mind that from the press box it is easier to discern the east stand makeup than the west stand makeup. That typically means that observations from the press box tend to be biased a bit in terms of visitor attendance, since the home crowd at SMU is almost all on the west side.

I've been assured there is no cause for alarm. I am happy to report though that there were about 50,000 people and a couple of hundreds dogs a few yards away at the Boulevard picnic

Oh you didn't [deleted] me off didn't mean to come off that way just saying observation. Only for me being in the front doesn't give me the best prospective.

when the student section was full we had well over half - probably 60% SMU. I dont know how you could come up with anything else. i dont think we did poorly at all given they are 10X our size.

Given the number of A&M alums that live in the Metroplex, the fact that the game was not a sellout was truly sad. Evidently, they did not take to kindly to having to give SMU $85/ticket to see them whip our [deleted]. Hopefully the Frogs will turn out better so that the atmosphere is much more like the game in 2010 here in Dallas.

Oh dude, there is no way it's a waterfall effect the reason not enough showed for AM was because of how ba Baylor was and how bad the offense was SFA now seeing this game. It will be a miracle if it's 25k total, 15k TCU 10k SMU. Why? Because we were still in the intro phase developing a fan base and now it went to hell. The only people that will come our people like on this board, our guests and drunk students not realizing they went to football game instead of the death to JJ frat party

Triple SMU's undergraduate enrollment. We'll have the #s we are looking for in the stadium in the short term. Long term a huge fan base will build in Dallas as most alumni will stay in Dallas. Then we will really be "Dallas' Team".

Not enough room that's what sucks about being land lock that's why we created smu in plano to help alleviate that and we are adding dorms to help keep people on campus but this is a challenge and we need a group of coaches and marketing to appeal to Dallas. If you build it (consistently winning team) they (Dallas) will come.

The stadium would have been full if SMU had lived up to the pre-season hype. If SMU had of showed up and/or won at Baylor and also looked good vs SFA...we would have sold out. The bloom is now off the rose as JJ puts out a mediocre product and it just won't sell in Dallas. Th momentum was there but the lackluster showings have lost the fringe fans....who would come, but are now dis-heartened.
I was surprised but I thought it was 50-50 at the TAMU IMHO. SMU never had a chance to show its strength as there was NOTHING to cheer about. A FG when it was 27-0?.....hardly.
