SMU in Year 5 of the June Jones Miracle is a 17 1/2 point dog at home to a team that has averaged 23.5 points against two poor BCS schools

I saw the title, and thought it was another Obama speech. Whew, what a relief!

I think it has moved to 18 1/2. I would still bet the frogs. Our Offense has shown nothing to think otherwise.

sounds about right. I really should have loaded up the truck vs Aggies. Rivalries are always trouble.
TCU wins by at least 2 TD's.

I disagree. I think that historically we have come out and played better offensively and as a team on game 4 or after a bye.
Last year: week 4 menphis blowout. Bye: UCF win
2010: week 4 close loss to great TCU team, bye: win versus Marshall
2009: Throws a wrench into my theory, Weel 4 was coming off a bye and lost to a really good TCU team at TCU.
I think we either get it together this week and play competitive or the whole year is shot. I don't think the seniors or coaching staff will let that happen. i think we beat the spread this week.

My goodness the beginning of this season has been just rubbing salt in an open wound.

It would be great if you are right. First half of Baylor was ok - then the offense has turned south quickly. Hope GG pulls it together and somehow DJ has a great game. Turnovers are the KEY as always.

Stallion is so excited about SMU's misfortune, that he can barely contain his excitement.

two TD's would still make you a winner against the line.
I'm going to take SMU plus the points. i was on the Aggies, but weird things happen in rivalry games. i think it's time i had a little faith in us to cover.
but we may lose by 30...

The Frogs may well win this thing, but the team I watched play KU and UVA won't be beating SMU by 3 TDs. This is a rivalry game in our house after a two week break. The Frogs have no running game and are extremely turnover-prone in the red zone. Realistically, I'd take the Frogs. But it will be a close, hard-fought game.

How do we get pressure on Tattoo to make dumb throws. I have not seen SMU get that pressure by D-Line or blitzing LB's. We need to do a better job than we did with Johnny Football. Manziel was back there knitting sweaters.

TCU's running game is much easier defend when they don't have a QB that can run the option.

The best defense for smu is an offense that can keep the ball. I expect to see a lot of Line early and often as we haven't exactly shut down the run between the tackles. Mix in a long ball here and there and hope you can put together some drives and eat clock. Don't think you can stop the TCU passing game.
Look forward to the visit this week...

Agree that the passing game is TCU's strength, while pass D is our weakness. So that is worrisome. But call me a Pollyanna, I think our offense will be better this week. With all due respect to Pachall and the Frogs, A&M with their o-line and Manziel is a totally different ballgame. I think we have at least a puncher's chance in this thing.
