Tired of TCU Fans

I am so overly tired of TCU fans acting like their [deleted] doesn't stink. I'm not referring to any of them who have commented on this board (although I'm sure there are some I'd take exception with).
A buddy of mine throws out to me how they are going to throttle us this week. I call him on his BS acting like its a forgone conclusion they are going to win every game, and then he is somehow stunned that I would have the stones to make a comeback.
Yeah, I get it, your team has been better than ours in recent years, but last time I checked, we still play the game every year because no win is guaranteed. We are always competitive in this game, even when we lose. So just because they have more wins against us in the last 10 games, am I just supposed to roll over and take your crap without throwing fodder back at you? Please. Give me a break.
Do I think we win this Saturday? No. Would I be surprised if we won? No.

Human nature. I can only imagine how cocky many of the posters here would be were we in their position. Seems to me all in all that they're actualy relatively fairly tame and gracious given the circumstances.
Now let's go beat them.

Difference is that if I were half as cocky to them as they were to me, I would EXPECT them to give me hell to defend their team. Just seems stupid that they are surprised I'm willing to tell them to STHU.

Ha ha! Consider yourself one of the frog fans I tolerate. I can't say "like" because after all, it's hard to overlook such a HUGE character flaw of liking the frogs.
All in, those of you that come on this board regularly are pretty reasonable. It's the guys I've known for 20+ years who claim they have followed TCU all their lives, but somehow it was only noticeable in the last 5 years or so. I wouldn't mind us having several thousands more bandwagon fans myself. Seems like it might be a good problem to have.

My wife went to FSU. She despises the UF fans for similar reasons. She's got this incarnate ability to spot the ones that never actually went to UF, but recently decided to be a fan in the last few years.

It's all good...and the feeling is mutual. Unfortunately, we all have our "fans" who embarass the school. My 9 yr old son says he won't ever go back to SMU because some of the fans (students) we came across 2 years ago were rude and used some 4 letter words. It only takes a couple people to ruin it for everyone else. There are plenty of TCU fans around who remember some dark times...

You ought to be a lot more worried about the hundreds of SMU Fans-including many well placed, influential fans ready to run June Jones out of town on a rail than of me. But in your usually ignorant comments its easier to just use the straw-man STALLION to rile up the usual Cheerleader crowd. Why don't you start some more of your [deleted] attacks on those daring to suggest that June Jones should be fired immediately? They are already lighting the torches-I'm far from the radical crowd now. Its so funny watching you backtrack. All those criticisms of SMU's recruiting strategies, priorities and Coaching Staff makeup all starting to make a lot more sense now-huh?

they will probably annihilate us this yr but will be annihilated themselves in every game in their brutal stretch at the end of the yr, especially if they play like they have been recently. It will be back to reality quickly.

you won't hear that from me, i remember all to well the the 97 game where we won our only game against you the final game of the season. Kept you waiting on that first bowl game post death penalty too.

We are no more full of it than the SMU fans were in the 70's to the mid 80's. The shoe just happens to be on the other foot for the time being.
