Sad when the atmosphere has become so tainted that you have to apologize for thinking your team will win a big rivalry game.

Giddyup: I met you last year at the So. Miss. game. You seemed completely normal and rational, at the time. Has there been a dramatic life changing event you've experienced or are you now binging on drugs and alcohol?

I've given up on being optimistic. Not worth it.

You're in the wrong atmosphere... stay out of the "taint".

We win the turnovers we win the game. The big key is for the Mustangs to protect the ball and the D to create turnovers. Do that and we have a chance.

The O lone has had two weeks to learn from their previous mistakes. GG and the receivers have had more time and game experience to work out timing issues and blown route issues. Hopefully our punter has done nothing but punt for two weeks and has his average up from 29 yards to 35 yards. Not good but better.

And we need to bring our spirit to the game and give the team a boost. Two years ago a talented TCU team was pushed to the limit by a spirited and inspired SMU team. We need that again.

If we show up and have an offense we win,

if we don't we lose...

just about that simple

I think you stoled that "simple" analysis from Uncle Bob in Urban Cowboy when he was teaching Bud how to ride a mechanical bull.:

UNCLE BOB : Bud, in some ways, a bull like this is harder to ride than a real one. With a real one you can always watch his head and see which way he's apt to move, but with one of these, the treachery of the bull just depends on the treachery of the man operating the controls.

UNCLE BOB: f you want to ride this thing right, you got to learn to ride it with style and form because you're competing against real bull riders, not just mechanical bull riders, do you understand? I can tell you how to score points. I can't show you because I'm too fat, but I can tell you. IF YA LISTEN TO ME BUD YOU'LL WIN. IF YA DON'T, YA WON'T. OK?

RGV, Giddy started drinkin' early this AM. Someone told him over the weekend to hit it hard, hit it early, and keep the hammer down. He takes instruction well.
