Do you guys really think Preston is better than GG? GG is miles ahead and I rather keep riding him because he gets better with every game. Who knows, he could be elite next year when we join the BE. If we go with CP we are starting from zero and likely wont even get to a bowl. I believe the smart thing to do is to go with the one with the most xp and the most potential and that's GG. Unlike many of you, I still believe Gilbert is our answer at QB.

Almost every pick was thrown right to the TCU defense. He overthrew several receivers. Yes, the receivers deserve a lot of the blame. But Gilbert was terrible, and has been all season.

Problem is that for most of JJ's stay here, the backup QB has been either a fresh / soph who has taken no meaningful snaps, so it has been a complete crap-shot as to if they would be successful or not.

Padron's play at Tulsa was a rare exception.

Mr RnS has failed miserably at developing our QBs and WRs.

I think it's foolish into thinking the problem here lies in only one person. Gilbert IS part of the problem, but I'd say more blame has to fall on JJ's system and the receivers' overall play this season.

I stopped watching after the 3rd interception (since it was around 5am my time and I had work in the morning) and up until that point he looked pretty good. We win this game if the receivers catch the ball. Receivers were absolutely pathetic. That miscatch by Holman is worthy of making an appearance on the not top 10

Not all but some of those drops were balls thrown behind the receivers. Not all were drops that were put right on the numbers. Both QB and receivers have enough blame to share.

I disagree and think he is a big part of the problem......unfortunately

Did you see the game?? I'll give you that GG got no help from his WRs or the weather but he rarely hit them in stride. Most of his throws are slightly off a majority of the time.

so true and that's my major concern. He has hit very few guys in stride so far this year and that's what makes this offense go. Better get it together for UTEP or the natives are really going to get testy

Gilbert isn't the answer at QB, but he's not the only one to blame for our offensive woes. His receivers are terrible and they're not going to get much better before he's out of eligibility.
