Silver Lining Awards

In keeping with tradition ( that is purely in my mind)

1. Defense played well enough to win. TCU had 21 points on 2 turnovers and a punt return while amassing all of 1 first down in the 3 scores.

2. Law of averages says our receivers should not drop another pass all year.

3. Offense, while pitiful, showed signs of a little life if they can stop shooting themselves in the foot.

4. My air conditioner was found to be broken when I got home so I realize things can be worse than losing a football game.

5. No one will go hungry on Ponyfans because we are all already eating our own.

6. Ponyte bought most of the gas for the trip.

7. I should be dry in time for work tomorrow.

1. Defense was way better (B+)
2. Offensive line a little better (C+)
3. SMU marketing campaign is great (A+)
4. TCU will lose many games from here on out and hopefully we win a few.
5. I didn't leave the game cursing although the play on the one yard line got me fired up (F for that JJ).

1. TCU is terrible and we can look forward to many TCU losses this year

2. Defense can stop any team not running the hurry up

3. We don't have to hear complaints about the lights being in our receivers' eyes

Nice move by SMU to relax the umbrella policy for this game.

Disagree RGV. I abided by the policy and was blocked by a person with one. And they had a hood they could have put over their head. If you have a policy it should be enforced in my opinion. Barring umbrellas except when it rains kind of defeats the purpose. If they want to drop the policy then I can learn to live with it. But if it is there, it is 2nd only to my gripe about letting people move into my seating area that do not have tickets to be there.

Silver Lining Award: mrydel's air conditioning failed on the last day of September rather than in middle of July

Margus Hunt finally had a good game as a defensive end and not just a kick blocker.

Zach Line. Sorry, but he has to be mentioned in every one of these threads as he is the only part of the offense that works consistently.

O-line gave GG some time. Too bad he didn't always know what to do with it and his WR's couldn't catch the ball if their lives depended on it.

We're one game closer to a new coaching staff.

But I think the cost will be the same. Nice cool day today however.
