Forget the level of competition

I know this is difficult, but Jones has not recruited to a BCS level so we have to deal with what we have. Yes the competition is less but last night instead of 3 and outs we graduated to difficulty in or near the red zone. Hopefully next week we can improve on that. I want us to win CUSA this year and then I will curl up in the fetal position and [deleted] thumb wondering what will become of us.

I will take steady improvement over the course of this year. The D is one of the best we have seen since the DP. And getting better at creating turnovers. The O is slowly improving. That's good as we will need it to continue to improve as the last game of the year may mean an awful lot to us.

We got more first downs against UTEP than Oklahoma. Stop putting UTEP down. They aren't bad. It was the knockout punch we couldn't seem to find...

It was a solid win. Here's to continued improvement on the offensive side of the ball. I believe we'll see just that.

I tend to agree, most of the time. But I feel that unless our O can stay on the field longer (which they're starting to), we're going to hurt our D.
between two teams: Great O, Crap D vs Mediocre O, Great D.. I'd take Great O any day. Sheet number of attempts will eventually stab something into the in zone.

I would take a great defense and mediocre Offense. Defense wins more games providing the mediocre offense can score something.

So did we by that standard. 4th quarter drives good enough to put away the game. 3 field goals missed would have added 9 points to O production. And for some reason no one seems to understand this was the best D we've played yet and the best D left on the schedule

aTm was the best D we played not UTEP but UTEP was the best D left on the schedule. Our O should get some help from the Tulane D.
