You just can't...he's a dial tone...he is allowing Tulane to dominate emotionally.

Looking forward to the usual suspects coming up with more pro-June drivel.

We've seen so much improvement by the offense this week. I mean, we've had it first and goal three times this half!! Great great improvement.

The June to the death supporters have there talking points ready. They will be on here if SMU does not win.

I will accept the challenge, thought my explanation will inevitably not be accepted.
Is it possible that Jones feels like for SMU to reach it's highest potential this year he needs to play Gilbert? Gilbert has the most raw talent of any QB on the roster and teams with new parts tend to gel as the year wears on. Perhaps he feels like to win C-USA he needs Gilbert to be at QB and performing well. It is his job on the line every week so we know he's making decisions that he feels like are in his best interest.
I'm not saying I agree with him, I'm just trying to provide one possible explanation.

i'm usually one of those guys, but I just can't do it anymore.
the run on first, then throw incompletions til you kick the FG goal line strategy has gotten me over that.
i just don't have the energy anymore.

If I was really manic, Jones could talk to me and I'd become depressed. I guess that's something.

I was a JJ supporter until the ASU fiasco. He lost me after that. The worst part is he has quit on the players...I would rather take my chances on Clemson OC, Chad Morris. Yeah, I know what happened the last time SMU went with an assistant coach(Phil Bennett). Anything is better at this point besides Julie Jones.

I assume everyone on this board is bright enough to know that nothing any one of us thinks means anything, but if the C of C has had their fill of this garbage, a change will be made

100% agree.

That doesn't explain the stupid play calls, the lack of effort in recruiting, the obvious downgrade in O-Line coaching, the lack of discipline that results in false starts that nullify TDs, etc. etc. etc.

Some members of the CoC read some SMU message boards. Some AD employees read this very SMU message board. Our discussions do not fall on deaf ears.

One might ask why in Year 5 a QB as bad as Gilbert is June's best option at QB for winning C-USA.

Stop buying cars from Sewell and don't put money in any of Ford's banks. That will be a start to get their attention.
I personally support both individuals and the millions they've given to the university, but something has to get someone's attention, and the on-the-field performance isn't doing it.
