Throwing the fade was worse than kicking the fg. 40 seconds off the clock would have won the game.

Tulane should have never been that close in the 4th quarter anyway. I had no problem with the FG because the D was looking pretty good.

that fg call invited Tulane to win the game. But more to the point, June is supposedly an offensive coach who has no confidence in his offense and constantly puts all the pressure on the Defense. Agree that the fade route was horrible mistake, low percentage, but June does goofy stuff all the time. Sad, sad loss.

Once again, the run-n-shoot is an old, obsolete, ineffective system. The cadences, progression sequences and formations are easy to decifer by even the most conservative defenses. Quality recruits won't come here as long as that system remains in place.
