He has almost all ponyfans posters in agreement on the subject of him remaining as coach. We have never had such unity.

How could we have brought him back after the ASU fiasco? But none the less it is time for retirement.

I'm pretty sure we were just as united during Bennett's last year.
The game that sticks out vividly in my mind is that Arkansas State disaster.

Poor Shadowman,
Think of all the crap I took 2 years ago when I wanted him to be fired. That cruddy stone age offense, lazy recruiting, and pretty much a "I don't really care attitude" was all there all along, it just finally has caught up with him.
We should have taken action long ago, now we go limping into the big east as a bottom of the barrel BCS team with no quick fixes in sight.
Let's hire Petrino and put a "no motorcycle or blonde interns" clause in his contract.
Let's do it now, no need to finish this out with June, No way we should have kept him after that ASU crap, SMU admins were just as gutless as June is.

He took a team that was absolutely the worst of the worst in college football to three consecutive bowls, and then managed to turn them back into the worst of the worst with little hope for improvement in the near future.
That truly *is* remarkable.
