Folks --- This sealed it for me.

I cant keep pumping time, Money, and energy into this program as it stands today.

Today we played by many accounts the WORST team in Division I --- WORST.

Lost by total of 70 pts. to LA-Mon and LA-LA.

Embarrassing day to be a Mustang.

Let's move on and try something different. Our program has taken a couple of steps and now we can create interest with some young up and comer looking for an opportunity.

Sad sad day on hilltop ----- Worst of all takes some fun out of what I was looking forward to Thursday night.

Heh, this is SMU, I can probably reel off about 10 nut kicking losses that SMU has had in the last decade worse than this.

But still, I really wish I couldn't

You know what's worst... No one on campus will even notice. When south lake Carroll lost to Katy by a field goal in state champs. The whole town was in mourning and nonstop talking about it. I think that's what's going to hurt more is that nobody cares how embarrassing this is like Tulane students not caring they broke a winning streak against a future "BCS" team.... Ugh we are the next Kansas without a b-ball team

No, it wasn't the worst loss since the DP. But right now it really, really feels that way.

Tomorrow is another day and hope springs eternal...

Worst loss of the June Jones era for sure, you want worse post DP losses then Rice and UNT 2006 immediately come to mind.

That UNT game for sure, we played up in that arm pit of a stadium Fouts Field, we were so much bigger and stronger than UNT....we were ripping off 9 yard runs each carrry....but still...in typical SMU fashion,we found a way to lose.

Agree. Not worst post-DP loss.

I had completely erased that game from my memory. Did not want to remember that at all.

Rice was worse...1st and goal from the one 3 different times, never got in...no bowl for us. Longest drive home ever.

Rice was possibly more painful, but at least that Rice team was solid with Jarrett Dillard and went bowling. Tulane is arguably the worst team in FBS this season.

we've had far too many really ugly losses in the post death penalty era to even rank them. The Okie State humiliation (Woods scores again!) comes to mind; the "cant punch it in with 4 tries from the 1 yd line against Rice" has to be on the list somewhere. I guess the problem is that we now have some expectations and that's what makes this one so tough

Yep, and that in the bigger picture is not what the powers to be are understanding. Those of us who have paid the freight for last 20 plus years are now going to check out and they will have lost a group that has been the most loyal in terms of support financially and otherwise.

No list is complete without the Ark State loss or the Houston thrashing.
