To add insult to injury

After being shell-shocked by our pitiful result yesterday, I just walked out to get my newspaper this morning and find that my SMU garden flag had been stolen last night. Probably some drunk kids on their way home to Daddy's house last night about 2AM. They took just the flag and left the holder. I guess that pretty much is indicative of the weekend, my flag is gone and so are most of my hopes for the season.

It could have been worse. You could have been at the game with Mustang Billy and me and witnessed that miserable performance in person!

Arkpony, I wonder if this is a sign that I should "wave the white flag" on SMU?

I sometimes have thought that in my 57 years of rooting for SMU, but I always come back for the next game. Do I need a shrink?

Arkpony, I guess I am a bit slow, but I finally fully grasp JTstang's motto of "
I Have No Expectations". I have begun to embrace his motto and it really does ease the pain.

I had a friend who drank vodka to ease the pain of shingles. Perhaps it works for SMU football pain.

We do not need to ease the pain of shingles, the whole roof has collapsed.

As soon as the game was over, we took our flag down........don't know when I'm going to feel like putting it up again.

Maybe your neighbors are doing an intervention with you! Trying to take you to the future, a better place and not remembering the painful experience associated with being a pony fan.

I have to say that is a nice looking flower patch. at least your plants weren't destroyed.

I took mine down too, it had been up since late August, but I am too embarrassed
to fly it right now.
