My small cul-de-sac flies the following team flags:

Arkansas
LSU
Alabama
SMU

The Arkansas flag?

3 of them are not top tier universities.

Our street has 2 team flags---SMU and right across the street OU. However, another street over has 2 garden flags at the same house---Auburn & Alabama.

Bama and SMU are clearly the best - and be thankful there is no orange! On my street in northwest Plano - we have LSU, Texas, Ole Miss, and I have both SMU and Bama garden flags in my front yard.

my street flies Clemson, USC, Bama, LSU, WVU and SMU flags...I know how you feel

What it really shows is that I am living in a neighborhood below my means.

SMU is the only flag flying on my street. Not many people in Delaware fly college flags. I'm sure the neighbors think we're crazy!

You let the lessees fly flags other than SMU?

For SMU all fans are welcome. Only alumni for all other universities.
