Has anyone successfully" shown cause" in such a situation? Is there precedent to avoid sanctions?

I think this would be a phenomenal hire...after the season, part ways with JJ and start looking around!! Tressel would be a great hire in my opinion...

Tressel would do a good job. When at OSU he recuited heavily on Ohio, built good relations with hs coaches etc. He respected tradition and made sure his teams were well prepared, especially for major rivals. And NO- he didn't play his players. Not the most personable person but can definitely coach.

Tressel had Ohio tries from being at Youngstown St. What Texas ties does he have?

If use us as a stepping tone requires the coach to be successful and improve us. Fine. Win-win
