They would not do it during the season as that would be too early. I believe they will evaluate after the last game of the season.

Great question!
...Rossley. Hayden Fry (before my time). On the AD side, Orsini. Look how long we had to put up with copeland's indifference.
Our leadership would not put up with this mediocrity in any other area of our institution. It really reflects badly on our university and the place that athletics represents in our history.
Our administration just cannot take the bold option. This indicates that they really don't care about the condition of the program or the fans. It hurts to say that, but it appears the administration's attitude is no different than our coach's attitude on our school and our tradition.

+1 treadway - the admin has only tried to placate us by changing a few standards etc.
I suspect if RGT were not in his Second Century campaign none of this would have happened. He is much more interested in his legacy than anything truly SMU.

The reality is that most, if not all, of the administration has no connection to SMU other than their pay check. I may be wrong, but I think the majority of the board of trustees are not directly associated to SMU other than as a board member. I believe that came about as a result of the activities that brought on the DP. The idea, I believe was to diminish the influence of athletic pride on Board actions. I'm not sure they have yet to accept the fact that high level successful athletics increases interest in SMU by potential students much as it has at TCU. I believe those are the facts we are up against in getting any administrative action in regards to JJ.

Besides the money issue, I don't see what harm it would do to fire JJ mid season than to wait till the end. It would make absolutely no difference if we come out and beat every team after this. The fact is we flopped when we had competition and got taken to school by the worst team in college football...
I really wish there was a way to clean house on admin at SMU. I really don't like any of them and I imagine if anyone cared about the school would say the same thing. I feel bad for all of us on this forum because no matter how much you cheer or show up or really donate the culture isn't going to change I'm afraid. This lost to Tulane was an auto win before Saturday now see it as a lost. I shiver the reality of us going 2-10 with our only win coming from Memphis. This record coupled with paying a sissy lazy Hawaiian r-tard 2 mil for a record like that in cupcake USA and about to go into a very good big east with teams that are really good or able to adapt after losing a coach (Houston) or going through penalties (ucf). What excuse do we have?

Probably the answer to my question that I expected least.
