Just spent several minutes talking about SMU / Tulane.

Basically said multiple times that Tulanes team is garbage and multiple times - what is SMU doing.

Nothing good

Take it out on Houston

When you lose to the worse team in college football, nothing good will come of it.

They have every right to dog and trash this team. What happened saturday, and the rest of our games, is embarrassing.

I was listening...he said if Tulane had a offensive/defensive scrimmage amongst them selves, they both would lose. He then asked what is going on over there at SMU to lose to a team as 'HORRENDOUS' as Tulane. He also mentioned if he had a bet if Oklahoma would beat Texas by over 40 or that Tulane would beat SMU last weekend ....he would have most certainly bet that OU would beat TU by over 44, but no way would he have bet that SMU would or could lose to Tulane.
He didn't mention June or his coaching, but it was inferred.

Another nail in the coffin.

How does the saying go? Bad publicity is better than no publicity at all? Unfortunately, Norm is actually one of the most respected voices in this market. Sheez.

We were bottom 10 material a few years ago, looks like we may be heading that direction again.

It's starting to feel like my college days again. No good news about the ponies. Terrible losses. And a fan base that could careless and spends most of their time discussing the next coach. Ah, college, I miss you.

Disagree. If the fan base didn't care, you wouldn't have PonyFans, Rivals and Scout all humming. [deleted] too. People are upset and looking for change because they care, a lot. Agree or disagree with their positions, these people are engaged. And I bet 95% of those with season tix will be in their seats on Thursday evening. Will you?

Nope won't be there. Can't make the travel. You'll just have to yell louder to make if feel as though I was there.

I'll take back the fans base doesn't care. Everyone on this board wants SMU to be better. But you have to admit hoping and wishing for more losses on the record sure sounds like not caring about winning, doesn't it? Sound more like people are concerned with running off a coach.

Now can we hire Petrino and have him start before the season ends? That would grab some national headlines and attention.

I'm telling you. We are headed back to the stone age if we allow Jones to coach past this season. We may be headed there anyway. But we MUST GET RID OF JONES.

Give him to the end of the year and then make any moves.

You know, when Tulane lost, I was upset, but didn't have any harsh feelings towards anyone. It certainly means we have things to work on, and continue to work on, but none of that happens over night or even a week.

Then I read these boards, and see the relentless bashing on coaches and players. It starts to make me feel different.

I then sit back and realize, most of us here probably don't know crap about what's going on to make the kinds of comments that are being said.

In other words, it's disgusting, and doesn't solve anything.

Why wait? We lost to tulane, it cant get any worst. Might as well make a statement and get a new person heck give mason a shot at HC and just see what happens. At least to other teams we have an excuse to suck, whereas have a coach thats been here 5 years sucking makes it seem pitiful
