We don't run a run n' shoot offense. We don't run an offense, period. Maybe the run 'n shoot works for someone -who the hell knows. What ever it is that we are running out there isn't any type of offense other than the horrible, [deleted] offense.

Would beating Memphis make up for losing to Tulane (since Memphis just as bad as Tulane)?

Could some one boil down the difference between the spread offense and the run and shoot? Is there any difference to June's offense and the run and shoot that Houston ran back in the 90's?

What we run is not the TRUE run n' shoot. This is a derivative of a Spread offense that doesn't produce in any capacity.

THIS sums it all up........."This year we plan to run and shoot. Next season we hope to run and score."

When I was at SMU, Rossley ran the RnS in the early 90s and I always thought it was because it was thought that it could help neutralize superior talent because you could get out in space and not have to go toe to toe with the much bigger teams. There were some entertaining games with Ramon Flanigan and my man Brian Berry but we were never all that great. I felt it was dated even back then. I always liked the west coast offense personally, although if you have a good RB and OL I just like smash-mouth, boring, time position drag out football ala early 1990s Cowboys but I'm in the minority on that one these days.

Trevone Boykin threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns, all those scores coming on third-down plays, and TCU won 49-21 at Baylor on Saturday night to end the Bears' nine-game home winning streak.

Boykin, the redshirt freshman who completed 22 of 30 passes without a turnover, added 56 yards rushing with a late 3-yard TD for the Horned Frogs (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) in his second start.

I want an offense that does not require 2 seasons + 5 games to master.

Don't be so modest. It's been 4 1/2 seasons (57 games) and it has yet to be mastered by half a dozen quarterbacks.

RnS was developed in the era of running football. If everyone plays spread, and defenses are designed to stop spread, by running around throwing arent you really going toe-to-toe?
