I'd take a winning record, a cup cake and a pat on the head.

Who do you think SMU could play if they go to the Hawaii Bowl?

Absolutely.

Tulsa has three marginal "good" wins (Fresno, @UAB, and @Marshall) i.e. I don't think they're as good as the record indicates. They still have to play Houston and UCF. If they can manage to lose one of those games, SMU can afford ONE slip up (most likely @UCF); otherwise we will have to win the next four to have a winner-take-all game on Thanksgiving Saturday.

It's a very possible scenario, but it would be a miserable shame if it all comes down to the Tulane debacle.

UCF is a tough game for us. The other teams I think we match up really well against defensively.

To win we have to run the table in CUSA. That is a very tough run for us with the level of inconsistency we have exhibited thus far. Not impossible but we aren't consistent enough to beat a crummy team like Tulane.

UCF is the only team remaining on our schedule that has a good (moderately-250 per game) pass game. As beat up as our secondary is this is our big concern for the rest of the season and so agree we match up well against everyone else including Tulsa. So Miss could be a trap game as well as they have lost to some quality teams and played them tough including Central Florida in OT.
