It will come down to Tulsa at home

Here's how I see the last 4 games playing out for our up n down Ponies. We lose to CFU by 14, then we beat So.Miss by 17, then we lose a very close one in OT at Rice by 3 and finally come home and must beat Tulsa to make it to our 4th straight bowl. And we beat Tulsa by 6.

Your thoughts.

Your prediction is exactly what our HC is hoping for - winning 3 of 4 and a trip to Hawaii. I'm hoping for winning all 4 and playing in the C-USA championship. I believe all 4 games are winnable. The key as always will be the play of GG.

Nope, I said we would win 2 of the 4 games and make our 4th straight bowl.

FWIW, UCF's only losses are at Ohio St. and to Missou by 2 pts. Tulsa's only lose was at Iowa St to open the season. Tulsa plays at Arkansas, at Houston and UCF at home before playing us. If they win all three they will come to Dallas in the top 25.

My bad. Interesting that you predict a loss to Rice and a win over Tulsa.

I know it sounds strange, but Rice is playing very good this year and I promise you that they will be fired up for a home game with the SMU. Meaning, we will have to beat Tulsa or stay home this year. Should be an interesting next 4 weeks for sure.

I'd be really happy if we can win 3 of the next 4. It would mean that SMU had a rough start to the season but finished out really damn strong. It would make going into the Big East somewhat more interesting than if we finished this season with a losing record.

Great point and all of us Mustang fans feel that way and wanna finish strong, even with a bowl win. Opps did I just really say that? The Big East will be tough in all sports, but all I can say is....

BRING IT !

Interesting. This team is peaking at the right time. One might not want to give up UCF just yet. And USM and Rice may likewise prove to be lesser opponents as SMU continues to peak. One has to agree if we have a shot at a really good to great season, Tulsa at home will be key.

Winning 2 out of 4 still might get us to the Hawaii Bowl.

We are past the point of having a great season, but I would settle for very good.

If we win the conference championship one could claim its a great season ( been decades since winning a championship).

This team will be focused knowing they have nothing to give up after Tulane. Silly to predict otherwise. USM will be a close game if we pull out a win in Orlando. If we lose, see Memphis for the USM score. After the letdowns of the early season, I can't imagine the team not being fired up enough to beat Rice for a chance at the division against Tulsa. And let's say we lose to UCF and beat USM. You think the team is going to fall asleep in what could be their last legit chance for six wins? Silly....The game against Rice is huge no matter what. And the team knows it.

I'd take that as a great season too. But it will be tough. Though Tulsa hasn't beaten anyone all that great (neither have we though), so it'll be great to see if we can take on UCF, Rice, and USM first before really thinking about Tulsa.

Tulsa and Rice will be tough games. Rice is playing well and we always seem to have trouble playing them in Houston. I suspect Tulsa will view our game with revenge in mind as they are still butt-hurt that they didn't get an invite to BE. They will want to show the BE that they are better than us. JMHO.
