Because we were completely dominated by UCF, and would more than likely lose to them again in the championship game.... I think anyone in the west gets spanked by UCF.
But I think Tulsa loses @ Houston and against UCF. We are good enough to beat Rice and Southern Miss. Yeah, yeah, I know, we aren't good on the road, but we are good enough to beat Rice on the road. And yeah, Tulane, but I think GG is good enough now that we beet Rice.
We get Tulsa coming off two straight losses here to play for the right to represent the west in the conference championship game. Tulsa with nothing to play for because they would lose the tie breaker against Houston even if they win. Maybe we show up and stop the run in that game

.
I know I am going to get ripped for pointing this out after the horrible game on Saturday... but I'm just saying there is a chance

. Tulsa actually only has to lose one of the next two games for us to control our own destiny again in a pretty bad division. If Tulsa sweeps, they deserve the title.

What on earth makes you think that's going to happen?

Like I said in an earlier post, we could back into a chance at the western division championship.

Great point. Tulsa only has to lose one of their next two games. Houston or UCF. Then your exactly correct that we control our own destiny in the final game.

Houston is at home and if the offense gets rolling, Tulsa won't be able to keep up.

Houston has lost to Texas St., La Tech and us. None of those games were really close. Houston's only wins are against four bad teams - UAB, North Texas, UTEP and Rice.
I've seen nothing from UH to suggest they'll put up much of a fight against a better Tulsa team.

Ghetto High has also gotten blown out by UCLA and ECU.

I would expect Houston to get rolled by about 3 TDs...Tulsa will dominate on the ground and grind it out.

No Sims means no competitive UH football.
He was hurt in last week's game against ECU.

Its a decent point-I'd say UCF should be a favorite against Tulsa.
