If they do not respond well against a very bad winless USM team then I just don't know to say.

We seem to say that after every game we lose this year.

I personally have never said it (it may have been said by others) but this late in the season with only 3 games left with the team only having 4 wins total it is really critical.

We already said that after the tulane game and they responded well. Our third string could probably beat Southern Miss.

We already know everything we need to know about our coach.

We will do better. This team isn't finished for this year. GG has improved (on INTs last week). Line is still a beast. And the D gets back on track.

we know everything we need to know about coach and team. We are 9 games into the season, so we've had sufficient data to form conclusions.
I would hate for us to put off firing JJ for one more year. Aside from Paul, Gaines and a few others, most of our recruits have no other legit options. If we are going to make a change, now is the year. I cannot take one more year of recruiting under JJ.

It's exciting to think we could beat another team with a losing record this week...........

Whenever we play even remotely stiff competition we are pathetic.
I really do wonder if we will win two games next year with JJ at the helm. The Big East won't have any So Miss, Tulane, UTEP, etc on the schedule. Better hope we draw Memphis!

We know, you'd rather see us lose, but we can only play who's on our schedule. Try being supportive, for no other reason than the fact that you (claim you) are an SMU fan.

A close game with USM would be concerning and a loss would be worse.

USM is winless but they're not as bad as what winless implies. This has classic SMU defeat written all over it

Tulane had been winless in 15 games I think before playing us. USM has only lost 9 in a row. Uh oh.

That means a blowout win is what we should expect by SMU.

bottom line is that these guys know they need to "win out" to salvage this season. We will find out if they have enough talent and drive to get it done, but you are right about the USM game. If we get rolled at Ford by a winless USM team...
it will be one ugly meltdown on Ponyfans.com
