CUSA Bowl outlook

If we beat Rice, CUSA might end up with just 4 bowl eligible teams. That should give you an idea of how terrible the conference is this year.
Already Eligible
-----
Must win 1 of 2
-----
Must win 2 of 2

Houston plays @ Marshall next week, the loser is out. Rice will have to win @ UTEP and Marshall will have to win @ ECU, so no easy paths for them.

So sad. They have zero hope in long run of things. Who will fund this atrocious conference. Big east needs to lock down the tv deal to assure we are on the good side of things when the great divide happens

If we beat Rice, which we should but which is by no means guaranteed, that Tulsa game is going to be fun.

Either way, it's sure to be poorly attended.

9,000 at kickoff
4,500 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter

Ugh, Birmingham again.
man, you are like debbie downer...lol
I had a blast in Birmingham...stay at Renaissance at Ross Bridge, play golf, go to bowl game, go out and have fun. Rinse, repeat.
I'd love to beat Ole [deleted] in the inaugural R. Gerald Turner bowl game.

I'd be tickled to play in a bowl we haven't played in before.

So we've gone from complaining about 0 and 1 win seasons, to complaining about going to the same bowl again?
I'd say if that is the case, we have come pretty far in the last 5 years. I'm no JJ sunshiner, but that is an incredible change in expectations. I'd be happy to play an SEC team in a bowl this year. Hopefully it will be in the Liberty Bowl!!
Pony up!

Can we get you anything else?

I'm still hopeful the stars align for us to play in the Independence bowl or Dallas Bowl as that is an easier drive than Birmingham. New Orleans Bowl would be ok as I am craving some good cajun food. The way the season has gone I would be thrilled with a Hawaii bowl invite. At this point I just want to keep the bowl streak alive!

A conference championship, a Top 25 ranking and a recruiting class that doesn't make we want to throw things.
