Do we win em both, lose em both, or split? After this up n down season I'm really not sure, so I'm going to guess we split. Beat Rice in OT, then lose to Tulsa at home. And make our 4th straight bowl game.
Your thoughts.

we win both by a combined 30 points.
but then again, we could win at rice in a squeaker then get blown out by tulsa. it's happened before.

We win both. Most thought we would lose in UTEP, because of our past games there ... we'll we took care of business. Now the Rice game has the same folks predicting doom ... we win in a solid performance. Coming off the "MO" from that game and bowl eligibility, we come out in the Tulsa game hunting for bear .... esp with a UCF victory this weekend.

Yes, we have the talent, speed, size and we will have to see about play calling.
We execute on 7 cylinders and we win both.

God Bless...we are moving to the freaking Big East next year, and are still worried about beating RICE.
This should be a curb-stomping in year 5 of the JJ era, not a nailbiter...

Do you really believe this, or is this what you are hoping for?

Not a stretch at all to say we go 0-2. I find that more likely than 2-0, with 1-1 being the most likely outcome. Yay for mediocrity

UCF pounds Tulsa.... We win both and the conference championship
I like SMU football more if I'm being optimistic, pessimists be damned

I think Rice is just as good as us. If they win their next two they can maybe go bowling so will be playing hard. They also beat Kansas at Kansas, which SMU would not have done. Plus they always play us hard and we lost 10 out of the last 11 there.
Plus Tulsa will beat us by 24+. We can not hang with good teams.

So what they beat KU ... and KU is playing much better now then at the start of the season. When was the last time we won at UTEP until this year? UCF barely beat UTEP in the closing seconds, and UCF hammered us ... so that tells us what .... UTEP is better then us .... no wait, we shut UTEP out on the road.
We will beat Rice

Agreed - should be a layup this far along in June's tenture. He is paid big bucks to win games like this. He also is paid big bucks to get his team ready to play and motivated unlike what happened at Tulane. He also is paid big bucks to hussle his arse off and recruit and battle BCS teams for quality recruits. I hope our next coach is a first class recruiter that hires an agressive staff that knows Texas and recruits. I pray we win this game. I want a bowl game.
