Have you forgot our record vs. the Owls in Houston

Well it's something like 10 of 11 we have dropped down there over the years...That's why I think they will play us hard and maybe we can get out of there with an overtime win, if we play good and luck is on our side.
Your thoughts.

Very sad that in year 5 of the JJ regime, we even have to be concerned about beating Rice.......

Wow. Quite an important fact. Good job on the research. Considering this revelation, I guess we're pretty much doomed. We should forfeit.

I’m not concerned …. And how long had it been since we beat UTEP at UTEP, and the Doom and Gloom crowd was predicting defeat.

Are people really concerned about this game?
I'm not.
We haven't lost to them since 2008, the year we went to the Hawaii Bowl. The people that are worried are the doom and gloomers who want to lose every game to ensure JJ's dismissal. The same one who predict we will get blown out by USM and everyone else.
We win by 13.

I think we cruise in the 2nd half after having a close 1st half with them. On another note, I'm really beginning to wonder if 777 has a secret love for Rice.... It seems that since the Baylor meltdown most of his comments or threads involve Rice....

Hawaii Bowl was '09.
JJ was 1-11 in '08 -- five or six wins shy of his annual goal.

Plus, we never play well in New Orleans against Tulane, and look what happened this year....

I was in school from 2002-2005. We were barely bowl eligible if you count all 4 years. Nothing about the last 4 years is sad. Nothing except the fan support has really let this team and coach down

fans are partially to blame, SMU fans are a tough crowd to please....
but nowhere near the root of the problem.

What more do you want from the fan base that is already here?
June has done little to grow the fan base, and no...going to 3 bowls no one cares about at barely above .500 is not going to do anything as proven by the last three year.s
