Will the Rice game be on TV in the Austin area? I have Grande and they say they are NOT carrying it. Any pubs going to show it?

It's on CSS I believe which is not shown in Texas. Best bet is a stream online.

SMU-Rice game Saturday will be on CSS. This is not a channel currently available in Dallas, but IS available in other parts of Texas. This was a CUSA decision. To help fans outside DFW, they can use this website to see if CSS is available where they live:

Amen to that. It serves us no purpose to play with the "humble losers" (per the commercial)

It is also on DIRECTV channel 696 so Comcast Bay Area subscribers can see the game as well.

Why can't any individual (or business) with the DIRECTV Sports pack see the game on either 665 or 696? Is the game blacked out in the DFW area? If so, why?

Because CUSA wants to stick it to us

SMU SID can confirm if true, but if CUSA is requesting DIRECTV to blackout the game in North Texas then that is petty beyond belief.

It shows up on 1770 on Uverse but I do not think you can get it without some fancy doings that I am too lazy to figure out.

Today's game is on the same channel as the SMU-Tulane game was. That game also showed up on the DirecTV & Dish listings but when it was time for the game, the channels went dark. C-USA tells me that it will NOT be available in Dallas. That said, if you can't make it to the game, you might as well give it a try. It WILL be streamed by Rice and will air on SMUMustangs.com. And, of course, Rich will have the call on The Ticket.

Yeah I have it on two uverse channels, but don't have them. My dad ordered the channel it was on for the Tulane game, and the second the game started it said it was blacked out in our area even though we had the channel. Going to assume it will do the same thing. Best online channel?
